Copper Nickel Alloy Uns C70600, C71500, Cupro Nickel 90/10, Cupro Nickel 70/30

Detailed Information:

We are one of the leading manufacturers of copper-nickel ferrule inserts, also called Copper Nickel C70600 and C71500 (70/30), at Ratnaexports. We simultaneously manufacture “Curp Nickel Ferrule Inserts(Cu-Ni Inserts).” As the name implies, tube inserts and tube ferrules are metal inserts inserted into the tube end of the shell and tube heat exchanger tube to protect the mouth ends of the tube. In shell and tube heat exchangers, tube inserts protect the tubes from corrosion.

As most tube failures occur within the first couple of inches of the heat exchanger tube inlet-end, the need for this Tube Ferrule arises. Condensers and heat exchangers must have thin wall coverings that can be extended fully into the inlet end to solve this problem. A Ratnaexports.com tube insert is a tube insert that ensures an easy, smooth transition between the fluid passing through it and the condenser or heat exchanger tube from the tube insert. We offer two types of tube inserts: metal and plastic/Delrin tube inserts.

Ratna Exports provides excellent service to our clients. Using premium raw materials, advanced machines, tools, and technologies, we manufacture the best quality Cupro Nickel 90/10 Ferrule Inserts that are highly durable. The Cupro Nickel 90/10 Compression Tube Inserts are designed and developed following national standards. Professional experts conduct quality tests.

The Purpose Of The Tube Ferrule Inserts

1) Protect inlet-end erosion & corrosion

2) Act as a protective layer

3) Reduce the medium impact

4) Transfer extremely high heat past the tube sheet to the exchanger tubes.

Types Of Tube Insert/Ferrules-Choose From Our Standard Design Modules. If You Do Not Have a Drawing

Straight Tube Ferrule Insert

These are the primary form of Tube Ferrules. Very economical and serves the primary purpose of Tube Mouth Protection. Ideal when there is not enough space at Tube Mouth for Ferrule Flares.

Bar Stock Ferrule Insert

These are machined from Solid Round Bars. Useful for small sizes and precision. Commonly used in metal when Pipes are not available for Construction.

Standard Flare Ferrule Insert

Flaring serves the purpose of holding the Ferrule Inserts with Tubes. With Single Flare on the outer side, this is the most commonly used and widely accepted Ferrule Inserts. Also does not necessarily require the use of Ceramic Fiber Paper.

Single Flare With Back Cut Tube Insert

A variation in the above design has a degree at the tail. Helps in a more straightforward installation where there may be hindrance/aberration in the tubes.

Single Flare Long Tube Insert

With Extra Length after Flaring, this Tube Insert is functional when used with Ceramic Fiber Paper. Sometimes these are hammered inside the Tube for proper fit.

Double Flare Stepped Tube Insert

With Double Flaring, this Tube Insert is functional with Ceramic Fiber Paper.

Double End Flare Tube Insert

It has Flaring at both Start and End. A degree may defer at both ends to ensure correct installation.

Who Uses Tube Inserts?

Any production process that requires the use of heat exchangers will benefit from the use of tube inserts. Tube inserts improve the tube side performance of heat exchangers by modifying the flow stream characteristics to enhance heat transfer. If you use heat exchangers, tube inserts will improve efficiency and increase tube life, both of which will produce substantial production and cost benefits.

Why Use Tube Inserts?

The following problems are common in shell & tube type exchangers:

  • Tube-end erosion/corrosion
  • Stress corrosion cracking
  • Crevice corrosion
  • Localized pitting
  • Ammonia grooving
  • Improper tube expansion
  • Weakened tube-to-tube sheet joints

Detailed Information:

Ratnaexports.com is a professional manufacturer of high-temperature service ferrules or tube inserts. It has been shown that alloy 602 CA is the most oxidation-resistant and highest-strength nickel alloy available for ferrules or tube inserts. This alloy can withstand high temperatures of up to and even beyond 2200°F (1200°C). As a result of its oxidation/scaling resistance, it is exceptionally suitable for thermal processing applications where minimal contamination of products is required. With a high chromium content and additions of aluminum and yttrium, this alloy can develop an oxide scale that is tightly adhesive to the surface of the alloy.

Stainless steel tube inserts are referred to as ferrules or ferrules inserted into the end of a heat exchanger tube to provide a specific function, such as protection to the tube ends.

Our company manufactures and exports a wide range of boiler tube ferrules, condenser tube inserts, heat exchanger ferrule tube inserts, ferrules, APH sleeve tubes & Tapered Tube Plugs.

Tube inserts are designed to act as a sacrificial protection against erosion and corrosion that might occur at the inlet end. They also transmit extremely high temperatures past the tube sheet and into the exchanger tubes.

Metal tube inserts are more durable in these environments than ceramic tube inserts. Ceramics are excellent at extreme temperatures. Unity Tube can provide ferrules and tube inserts. Heat exchangers with tube sheets that reduce nitride and carburize chemicals in chemical reactors are known as tube sheet heat exchangers.

It has been found that heat exchanger sleeves, generally associated with the electric power industry, have drawn increasing attention from engineers in the chemical process industries (CPI). It has been suggested that sleeving can be used to save money on heat exchangers. In sleeving, thin tubes (sleeves) are expanded into heat exchanger tubes to fit inside. It is a process characterized by generating a residual interfacial fit pressure between a tube’s outside and inside surfaces after the expansion. It may be possible to have short sleeves – say 6 to 16 inches long – or sleeves that extend the entire length of the tubes straight up and down. As far as thickness is concerned, sleeves typically range in thickness from 0.01 to 0.03 in., depending on the construction material and the original tubes’ thickness. Moreover, the inner end of the sleeves can also be welded to the inside wall of the tube. For many years, tubular heat transfer equipment in power plants has been adorned with sleeves to achieve one or more of these purposes.

      Detailed Information:

Swine-type fittings are one of the most popular connectors for various applications. These fittings connect materials with similar or dissimilar properties, such as metal with glass or steel. A swage tubing coupler consists of four parts: a body holding the tube in place, two ferrules at the front, and a packing nut at the rear. A leading manufacturer of PTFE Ferrules is Ratnaexports.com.

When attaching fittings to flexible tubing or glass tubing, it is recommended that you use PTFE ferrules instead of brass or stainless steel ferrules when you are using flexible tubing (such as PTFE or Tygon).

      What are ferrule fittings?

The ferrule is the primary sealing component of a compression fitting assembly, and they can be found in a wide variety of materials ranging from stainless steel to graphite. However, most ferrules in the marketplace are manufactured from metals.

      Are Swagelok ferrules reusable?

When assembled correctly, Swagelok™ fittings form a leak-tight seal that can be re-tightened often. Plastic ferrules allow for a “non-permeant” seal, which means the ferrule sets can be easily removed and reused on new tubing.

What is the difference between a single ferrule and a double ferrule?

What Is the Difference Between Double and Single Ferrule Fittings? The primary difference between the two types of fittings is that double ferrule fittings have two ferrules — one front ferrule and one back ferrule. By comparison, single ferrules only feature one ferrule.

        About Tube Inserts

Inserts are used in shell-and-tube heat exchangers to protect the tubes. Inserts are placed at the ends of heat exchanger tubes to:

        • Make sure they are protected from erosion at the inlet end
        • Inflammation
        • An impediment
        • A falling fluid-type exchanger induces fluid to fall on the ID of a tube
        • The exchanger tubes transfer extremely high heat past the tube sheet.

        Who Uses Tube Inserts?

Tube inserts improve any production process that requires the use of heat exchangers. By modifying the flow stream characteristics of heat exchangers, tube inserts improve the tube side performance of heat exchangers. In the case of heat exchangers, tube inserts will increase tube life and efficiency, resulting in substantial savings on production and costs.

        Why Use Tube Inserts?

Shell & tube exchangers are prone to the following problems:

        • Corrosion/erosions at the tube end
        • Cracks caused by stress corrosion
        • Rust in crevices
        • Pitting on a localized basis
        • Grooving with ammonia
        • Expansion of the tube is improper
        • Joints between tubes on sheet metal have become weak

Tube inserts are the most efficient and cost-effective solution to prevent these problems from affecting pipeline flow and reducing production loss.

        Our Tube Insert Range

In addition to tube inserts, RatnaExports.com offers a wide range of products, including:

        • Inserts for threaded tubes,
        • Tube inserts with square ends
        • Tube inserts with round ends
        • Inserts for metal tubes that are threaded
        • Inserts for square tubes that are threaded
        • Tube inserts with rectangular shapes
        • Inserts for round tubes threaded on the inside

Our tube insert range includes the following:

        • Two plastic inserts are available: nylon (polyamide), LDPE, and PP.
        • These heads are designed for tubes that project slightly outside the tube sheet. The projection is protected so high-velocity impingement does not affect the tube mouths and ensures increased tube and mouth life.
        • When the tube sheet is not exposed beyond the flared head, then flared heads are used.
        • Surface condensers typically use plastic inserts. Nylon inserts can withstand temperatures up to 150°C. PTFE inserts can withstand temperatures up to 250°C.
        • It is possible to manufacture metal inserts from stainless steel 304, 310, 316, 317, 321/347, 410, Hastelloy, Cu-Ni 90/10, Cu-Ni 70/30, titanium, zirconium, Inconel 600, zirconium 702, aluminum brass, admiralty brass, and aluminum bronze. High alumina and refractory alumina ceramic inserts are also available.
        • A ferrous insert is typically used for applications requiring high temperatures
        • This insert is used for high-temperature applications with temperatures of 900°C, where tube sheet warping is an issue. High-temperature ceramic paper is used to add to the level of protection.
        • The tube plugs are designed to protect tube ends during storage and transportation and for coating. There are two types of tube plugs:
        • High-temperature applications call for tapper plugs.
        • There are solid and hollow pressure plugs available in LDPE, PP, brass cupro-nickel, etc., for different sizes of tubes.
        • The condenser performance suffers when condensation deposits inside the tubes are scraped away with projectiles. These deposits are the result of water deposits that affect heat transfer.
        • A variety of materials make up the projectiles, which have blades rounded at the tip and positioned so that deposits be removed at the inner length of the tube.
        • Compared to other cleaning methods, these projectiles are incredibly efficient and economical.

        SQUARE TUBE INSERTS

Our standard square tube inserts and end caps range from 10mm to 150mm. We manufacture flat, domed, and angled inserts.

        ROUND TUBE INSERTS

We offer round inserts in a wide variety of diameters and lightweight or heavy-duty options. Some of our round inserts come in a variety of colors as standard.

        RECTANGULAR TUBE INSERTS

Various rectangular inserts and endcaps, including domed, angled, and curved bases, are available. Whether you need rectangular, round, or square inserts, you can choose between ribbed or plain shanks. Ribbed shanks offer ease of installation and neatness. For furniture requiring castors, we provide threaded inserts in plastic or metal.

        METAL INSERTS

Our metal tube inserts range from aluminum alloy inserts to steel tube inserts. Our chrome-capped ribbed products combine a metal finish with the optimal fit of a ribbed shank.
