Heat Exchanger Steel Tube, Condenser Steel Tubes, U Tubes, Astm A179, ASME Sa179

Pipeline, Tube Inserts / Plugs, End Protectors, Nozzles, Tower Packing

Detailed Information:

RatnaExports.com makes the Heat Exchanger Ferrules to ensure a smooth and gentle fluid flow into the condenser or heat exchanger tube from the tube insert. The tube inserts and the tube ferrules are a set of metal, plastic, or polymer components inserted at the end of a heat exchanger tube to protect the mouth of the tube in a shell and tube design. This Ferrule is needed as all tube failures occur within the first few inches of the inlet end of the heat exchanger tube. For maximum protection, metal tubes can cover thin walls of condensers and heat exchangers and their inlet-ends as thin wall coverings. Among the tubes we offer are metal tube inserts and plastic/Delrin tube inserts. As a result, the system will take a great deal of money and time since maintenance is always more affordable than replacement.

The Purpose Of The Tube Ferrule Inserts

  • The first step is to protect the inlet end from erosion and corrosion
  • A protective layer that acts as a barrier to the environment
  • Reducing the medium impact is the third step
  • A heat exchanger tube transfers heat from the tube sheet to the exchanger tubes.

Types Of Tube Insert/Ferrules

Straight Tube Ferrule Insert

It is the most basic form of Tube Ferrules. They are incredibly economical and serve the fundamental purpose of protecting the Tube Mouth. Ideally suited to situations with insufficient space at the Tube Mouth to accommodate Ferrule Flares.

Bar Stock Ferrule Insert

It is a machined part made from a solid round bar. It is a very costly process since much material is used during production. However, it is helpful for small sizes and situations where precision is essential. Commonly used when the material is PP, Plastic, Nylon, PTFE Teflon, or Bakelite.

Standard Flare Ferrule Insert

It has a single flare on the outer side and is one of the most commonly used and widely accepted ferrule inserts.

Ferrule Inserts with Tubes are held in place by flares. Ceramic Fiber Paper is not always required.

Single Flare With Back Cut Tube Insert

Variation of the above design with degrees at the tail. Prevents installation hindrances or errors caused by tubing inclinations.

Single Flare Long Tube Insert

Designed with an extra length after flaring, this Tube Insert is beneficial when used with Ceramic Fiber Paper. Sometimes these are hammered inside the Tube to ensure proper fit.

Double Flare Stepped Tube Insert

This Tube Insert is designed with double flares and is ideal for use with Ceramic Fiber Paper with a double flare.

Double End Flare Tube Insert

Flaring can be found at the start and end of this product. Degrees may defer at both ends to ensure the correct installation of this product.

Unique Advantage Of A179 Heat Exchanger Ferrule Insert

Tube Inserts And Ferrules

Degree or Reverse Flaring at the Back End of Ferrules

At Ratnaexports.com Ferrules, you can machine them to a 30- or 60 Degree angle at the back end, depending on the customer’s wants. They can be machined to Ultra long Ferrule Inserts as well.

Heat Number Traceability

Ferrules come with complete Heat Number Traceability and standard markings as part of their standard packaging.

Range of Flaring Options at Front End of Ferrules

Ferrules at Ratnaexports.com can be designed for Flaring OD, Degree, and Taper according to the requirements of your tubes.

  • Heat Exchanger Ferrules

Stepped Options

We can machine the ferrules with Solid Bar Ferrules so they are much smaller after a certain length.

  • Boiler Ferrule Inserts

Support Pins

Our ferrules can have some pins welded to them at various ends. Just send us the drawing, and we will do it for you.

  • Heat Exchanger Tube Inserts

Support Clamps

The support clamps we can provide are designed to be tack welded to the ferrule at various ends. We can supply them if you send us the drawing, and we will do it for you.

Common Problems At Shell & Tube Type Heat Exchangers The Lead To Need Of Inserts

  1. Tube-end erosion/corrosion
  2. Stress Corrosion Cracking
  3. Crevice corrosion
  4. Localized pitting
  5. Ammonia grooving
  6. Improper tube expansion
  7. Weakened tube-to-tube sheet joints

For the above problems, RatnaExports.com tube ferrule inserts offer its most cost-efficient tube protection, repair, and Shield/Seal, also known as a tube insert or ferrule. Although inserts are typically only 3″ – 15″ long, some applications have required lengths up to 3 meters.
