Detailed Information:

RatnaExports is a Leading Manufacturing of S235 JR, commonly referred to as FBE coating, is an epoxy-based powder coating used to protect pipelines, steel pipes, and a wide range of Valves.

FBE coatings are thermoset polymers by nature.

These FBE-coated pipes can be used in temperatures up to 95°C.

How Used S235 JR

Heating Source – Electrical or Gas-Fired Oven

Powder handling and application

Fluidized powder bed / Drum

Electrostatic Powder spray equipment

Compressed Air – The source must be clean and dry

Pipe and spools internals will be FBE coated with their own Fabricated special Coating System.

S235 JR advantages

  • Strong and durable: S235JR has a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa.
  • There is good weldability of S235JR, which makes it a popular choice for construction and engineering applications due to its ease of welding.
  • The S235JR steel grade is considered a cost-effective material compared to other high-strength steel grades, making it an excellent choice for many applications.
  • The versatility of S235JR allows it to be used in a wide range of applications, such as structural and engineering projects, machinery, and equipment.
  • S235JR is widely available and can be purchased from various suppliers, meaning many buyers will find it a convenient option.

S235 JR disadvantages

  • Regarding impact strength, S235JR has a low impact strength compared to many other steel grades, which may not make it suitable for applications requiring a high level of toughness or resistance to impacts.
  • Corrosion resistance may require additional coatings or treatments.
  • There is a limit in the temperature resistance of S235JR, so it may not be suitable for high-temperature applications since its properties can degrade when exposed to high temperatures.
  • S235JR has a high strength-to-weight ratio, but it may not be suitable for applications that require very high strength, as stronger steel grades are available than S235JR.
  • As this material is not particularly machinable, we may need to use special tools and techniques to machine it effectively, as it is a challenging material to machine.

Applications Of S235 JR

  • Oil & Gas Transporting pipelines
  • Oil & Gas refineries
  • Water & Wastewater Treatment Industries
  • Chemical Processing Industries
  • External Field joint
  • Oil & Gas Drilling pipes
